We will post participating hub locations and drill hours as the date draws closer, watch our website for specific information and a call for participants and citizen actors. 13000 Lake City Way Northeast, Seattle, WA Our next Citywide Emergency Drill is scheduled for Saturday June 11, at the Lake City Emergency Communication Hub pod located in the SE corner of the lower parking lot at the Lake City Fred Meyer store.
We need volunteers to staff the Hub or to present us with a variety of scripted scenarios likely encountered during a major earthquake.
We also hope that Ham radio operators or anyone interested in becoming Ham radio operators will attend. This drill is scheduled the same week as the major regional earthquake response training, Cascadia Rising, which focuses on emergency response to a 9.0 magnitude subduction zone quake--our worst case scenario. Our drill focuses on community responses 5 days after that quake. Please share/post the attached flyer.
